Project Reveal: Cresthill Ave
Welcome to Cresthill Ave, our newly completed interior remodel here in Atlanta! Blending classic Craftsman character with a modern European influence, this family home strikes a balance between style and function, resulting in a truly timeless design. Inspired by a boutique hotel the clients fell in love with during their travels, the interiors bring that experience home in a fresh, personal way. The overall aesthetic is playful yet refined, modern, inviting, and full of personality. This home was designed to spark curiosity and conversation.
Kitchen & Pantry
The clients love to cook, and much of their family life revolves around the kitchen. Previously tucked into a back corner, the space felt closed off from the rest of the home and lacked presence. We see the kitchen as the true heart of the home, so we reimagined it as a central focal point. Now open to the adjoining living area, it’s perfectly suited for hosting and staying connected while cooking. Generous cabinetry frames a custom hood and range, keeping storage within easy reach, while a boldly designed pantry is discreetly tucked into the corner, offering a subtle yet unexpected design moment. Just beyond, a built-in breakfast nook creates a cozy spot for the family to gather every day.
Powder Bath
Tucked beside the kitchen and living room, this moody powder bath layers rich materials to create a dramatic, cocoon-like feel. Dark-painted wood wainscoting and a custom floating marble vanity bring a sense of quiet luxury, while tonal grasscloth wallpaper softens the look with an organic touch and subtle texture.
Primary Bath
When designing the bathroom, the clients wanted to make the most of the natural light, so we organized the layout around the room’s single window. The entry door aligns with this focal point, framing the tub positioned just beneath it. Dual vanities provide ample space for daily routines, while the shower was designed to feel expansive- complete with a marble bench, a generous niche, and zellige tile wrapping the space for added texture and depth.
Kids Bath
For the kids’ bathroom, we aimed to keep it cohesive with the rest of the home while introducing a playful, youthful touch. Striped tile envelopes the shower and repeats itself in the vanity area, bringing energy and a sense of fun. To accommodate a growing family, we designed a Jack-and-Jill layout, with the tub and toilet set in a separate enclosed space. We chose a bathtub over a shower and ensured the vanity offers plenty of storage for everyday needs.
Mudroom
Last but not least, the mudroom. Designed with both function and impact in mind, it features counter space and drawers for concealed storage, along with open cubbies and hooks for easy access to jackets, bags, and shoes. A bold diamond-checkered floor anchors the space, while a lively yellow-green paint wraps the room from floor to ceiling, making it an eye-catching moment the instant you walk in.
